Our customers always ask some questions about samples, here I want to talk about 4 types of samples for your reference. We know samples are critical, since receiving samples gives you the opportunity to make sure your game is built correctly, nothing was missed, and that the final product meets your expectations. You should always arrange your own schedule so that when you receive a sample you have enough time to go over it, preferably with someone else.
Here are the 4 sampling steps that we supplied to our customers and recommend you request from your manufacturer.
Each project typically has 3 or 4 samples:
1)White samples - Versions of the game that have not been printed. This will include blank cards, boxes, surfboards, and all other items. It can be done before the design artwork comes out, it can give you a general understanding of your game size and materials, and components.
2) Digital sample - A digital visual of all files after they have been moved into the factory template to ensure nothing is missed or wrongly set up.
3) Digital printing sample - this is the same as the final product except for the color, you can use it for display, testing, evaluation, and promotion. This is always a final check to make sure I am happy with every component in the box.
4) Production Samples - Samples of the final product. Once the color proofs and white sheets are signed, we will print the game and manually assemble 1 copy. This copy will be sent to you as a final checkpoint before the game is assembled and packaged.
Samples are the best way to ensure that your final product is error-free, meets your expectations, and won't cause you problems. It's much easier to fix issues when everything is in the factory, once your game is in your local warehouse the cost and time to fix issues add up dramatically.
Samples can also be used for promotion, in short, it is still very important.
Hope these are useful for you, thanks
Nancy Wang
